Studio B is holding its third annual showing of “The Farm,” a juried show of works inspired by Pennsylvania’s agricultural roots. The show runs through Feb. 14 and a public opening reception and awards presentation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21.
“We are very excited to see what our artists bring to this show,” said Gallery Director Susan Biebuyck. “During the past two years they have wowed us with their innovation and fresh takes on the traditional subjects of agriculture and farming.”
Studio B is located at 39 E. Philadelphia Ave. in Boyertown.

We all know there are plenty of places in our area where one can take a nice walk and enjoy nature. But if you are looking for a change or just want to go somewhere else that is not to far away, here’s one for you.

The Morris Arboretum is hosting Wellness Walks this winter every Saturday morning at 10:30 through March 26. Walkers meet at the Visitors Center wearing comfortable and weather appropriate clothing and shoes, ready to walk two mile-long loops on the paved paths.

Guides point out some of the Arboretum’s specimen trees and other distinctive features along the way. The walk lasts for approximately 45 minutes to an hour, and walkers are welcome to continue on their own afterward.

And, according to a press release, now through Feb. 14 if you mention the Winter White Sale at the kiosk when you purchase an adult/senior admission at full price, and you will get the second admission free.

Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 65 and older, $7 for students and youth 3 to 17. Free for children under 3.

Also, the Arboretum offers guided tours every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania is located at 100 East Northwestern Avenue in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. It is about 30 minutes from Lansdale (depending on traffic).

After taking a walk at the Arboretum you could opt to check out Chestnut Hill and maybe grab some hot cocoa or tea at one of the many eateries in the area.
