Weekend fun

Dad's special day

- Lancaster County invites you to take a road trip with dad this weekend or anytime throughout the summer.

The area's golf courses can boast the signature Lancaster area scenery, from the rolling terrain of Tree Top in Manheim to the mature tree-lined fairways of Landisville's Four Seasons to Lancaster's Willow Valley, or the Lancaster Host Golf Resort.

Also, learn about the early sparks of the Civil War at the Christiana Underground Railroad Center, or interact with demonstrations of early Pennsylvania German life at the Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum.

Let dad discover his inner secret agent at the James Bond Watches exhibit at Columbia's National Watch & Clock Museum, or explore Lancaster's earliest beginnings at the Hans Herr House and this year's special Lancaster 300 events.

Lancaster has baseball, too, with the Atlantic League's Lancaster Barnstormers.

Special events coming Father's Day weekend include a Paddle Evening Rendezvous at Shank's Mare Outfitters on the Susquehanna River; Intercourse's annual Heritage Days; and Kitchen Kettle Village's Berry Jam Festival. Get more details by checking out www.discoverlancasterpa.com.
