Hollywood glamor

"Fashion in Film: Period Costumes for the Screen" is on display Sunday through Aug. 9 in the Kress and Rodale Galleries at the Allentown Art Museum, 31 N. Fifth St., Allentown. The 36 period costumes span Elizabethan England to 1950s Argentina. The films in which the costumes were used include "Elizabeth," "Evita," "Dangerous Liaisons," "Ever After," "Pride and Prejudice," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Out of Africa," and "Titanic," among others. Mounted photo murals and posters from the films complete the show.

Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission to the exhibit is $5 in addition to regular admission of $6, $4 for seniors and students, $3 for children 6-12, free on Sundays. 'Quiet' time

Duck herding, sheep shearing, old time games, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides and more are a part of Farm Animal Frolic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and May 23 and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and May 24 at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm, 1000 Turkey Hill Road, Stroudsburg.
